2005

My MSET course has officially ended. Next is the Class 4 driving course. That starts this coming Monday, and marks the starting of my stay-in period in Sembawang camp. Bahhh. Officially the driving course will take 5 weeks. But those who fail the driving test will have to retake and for them the extension of the course could stretch up to 7 weeks. The rest will continue on the next part of the Transport Supervisor course without those people who failed.

Well, that's what I gather from what I've been told, that is. Could be wrong.

But, one good news is that today is an off day! Woot! It's supposed to be a half-day, what with it being the new year's eve, but they let us have the half-day off. Wheeeee~~~ Of course the thought of staying-in for the next 5 weeks is still filling me with dread, but for the next couple of days, I'll just try to enjoy my extended weekend.

On Monday morning, at 7:30 am, I will be lugging my duffel bag + field pack to Sembawang camp, filled with all my SAF-issued items, plus whatever else I'll need during my staying-in. I shall try to keep the bags as light as possible 'cause I dread lugging all that nonsense up the stairs to the 4th or 5th floor, and then back down once the 5 weeks are over. -_-

Near the end of the 5 weeks, we will have 3 same driving tests. If we pass the first one, we will not need to do the others. And if we fail the first, but pass the second, we will not need to take the third. One incentive, they said, was that if we pass the first driving test, we will be allowed to stay out. Woohoo! I hope I can pass the whole course without problems... I am pretty worried about being able to drive 'cause I still know nuts about it.

But, as someone once said, if Syaiful can do it, so can I! :P

For today, I will hopefully be slacking with a few of my friends until 2005 has come. It's been quite a while since we all got together. It'd be fun. :)

Happy 2005 everybody! :D
