Went to visit our dear malique at the hospital on Wednesday before my Media Communication class. I had actually planned to reach before 6 pm, but as usual, my procrastination streak prevailed and I reached at about 6:30. I had to leave at about 7 to get to school on time, which left only about a half-hour visit. Mehhhhh.
Malique said he was testing out his new webshooters. Haha.
Then we had a short interview session, with me asking him some questions... I had more, but I couldn't remember them, so we cut it short. Here's the video and the transcript below. :D

"I heard they doped you up pretty good?"
"Yeap."
"You got any... Enlightenment, while you're doped up?"
"Like what?"

And erm, yes. For the keen-eyed, video and audio were from different sources. :P
So, anyway, after hanging out with Malique for about half an hour or so - according to the ward's clock, I started making my way to school. I checked my handphone's time and realised that the stupid ward's clock was super slow! I was late! Bah! Reached class about 15 minutes late, to the greeting of the tutor. "Ah, Zul, you came in right on time!"
And since I'm so easily pleased, that brought a smile to my face. :D I had actually been in quite a bit of pain that evening, with the return of my gout. Had been eating the medications that I had, but they weren't working anymore. 3 days straight of eating them and the pain was still worsening. At the end of that night, I was really having trouble walking.
Went to the doctor the next day and asked for different meds, and after a few days of those, the pain has finally subsided. Erm, comes and goes, actually. :( Sometimes the pain just starts again for whatever reason.
I'm pretty sure I've stayed away from all the kinds of food that I'm not supposed to take, so I'm not sure what's the cause of this new attack. It's been months and months since I last drank any Soya bean milk drink (which I was addicted to, years ago), and I don't even touch peanuts anymore... I did give in to two small red bean buns 2 week ago, but I cannot be sure that was the cause... I'm staying away from them from now on, in any case.
Stayed home about 4 days in a row, in some pain, researching and typing up the final Media Communication assignment... As usual, the word limit was 1,500, but the tutor mentioned before that 2,000 words was fine... This time around, I stopped typing at 4000+ words, and after my final edit, 3,517 was my assignment's final word count. And I submitted. 'Cause there was no time to edit anymore. I still think it's better to over-write, than to not write enough... I have to admit that writing 1,500 words over the limit is a bit overkill though... You try writing succintly about globalisation, glocalisation and the impact of media/cultural imperialism on society!
I don't think I did such a good job with this assignment, though... The topic was sooooo dry, and I had a hard time researching and typing up the essay, but yes, I managed to overwrite again anyway. I don't feel as happy with this assignment as I had with the previous two.
Oh well.
I should be blogging about something more fun before the week ends! We shall see! :) (Erm, no, sorry, nothing to do with that girl in UniSIM that I have a crush on...)
