Minor Achievements & Walk Journal 9

I am relatively easy to please. And here are 3 supporting evidence to that statement. :D

Incident 1

This happened yesterday. The Introduction to Media Communication tutor was going through some parts of our previous assignment, and the marks of that assignment ranged from 40 to 82. I scored a 78%, by the way. I was a bit disappointed with a 78% 'cause I was hoping for something better... But hey, it's not a bad grade. :)

He then gave away Kit Kats to the top 3 scoring students. Hahaha. And no, I wasn't one of them. Then he said that there were two other categories. The Most "Attitude" Script Kit Kat went to one of the ladies who wasn't present. Oh well. But the other category, the Best Written Script Kit Kat... Went to... ME! HAHAHAH!

Our tutor said that I had the overall best written script! So happy can. :P

I quickly took out my camera phone and snapped. Hehe. But I don't know why, the camera was, for some reason, in the lowest settings. Thus, the lousier-than-usual quality of the image above. :(

I took a picture of the Kit Kat during our break. Hehe.

Easily pleased. Evidence 1 complete. :P

Incident 2

This second evidence has no supporting photographs. But it requires some pre-requisite reading. :P The gist of the relevant parts of that entry is that I helped a friend write a story/script for one of his modules. By that I mean, I basically wrote the whole thing. :P The script went on to score 91.5%, the highest marks in the class. And while that whole entry can also be counted as evidence in itself on the statement that I'm easily pleased, that is not it.

That friend recently related a story to me. He said, "I have a friend taking this module right now. She was telling me 'Wah lan, they expect so much of us sia! They showed us a sample script, so high standard, how to do!' I asked her what's the title of the script. She said, 'Dunno lah... Some ****** story...' I asked, 'The ******'s ***** Can" issit?' Then she said, 'Yah! How you know?!'"

So... Yeah... The story/script I wrote... Has become the sample script for that module. o.O" (A.A, you read my script... Do you think this move by the lecturer was justified?)

Wahahhahhahaha. So happy again, can?

Evidence 2 done. :D

Incident 3

This happened last Monday. After my Maths 201 class (damn scary class!), I went for another walk with A.A. We didn't plan to walk so far... But it happened that way anyway. We took a couple of detours "just to see what (was) there" and ended up walking a very very very long route. I was exhausted halfway through and began to experience some unnerving effects to my body. I felt dizzy, walked a bit drunkenly, and near the end of the walk, my hands were shivering. I almost gave up several times, but I pushed through it anyway. I didn't want to quit. I was severely dehydrated at the end of the walk, and I think I pushed way past my limits on this walk. My body was just not ready for so much punishment, even if it was just a walk, nothing more.

I am not an athlete (big duh there), my body is not conditioned for long journeys, and plus, I didn't bring water during the walk - I left it in my bag. Why? 'Cause I didn't want to finish the water before the walk even got properly started, and then feel bloated throughout it. And I really just don't like having to hold something. :P Can someone buy me one of those Camelbak hydration packs? :D

Anyway, here's the video recording the aftermath of the walk.

Transcript :

[Cut 1]

"How long did that take?"

"1 hour 37 minutes."

"1 hour and 37 minutes?" [Why do I always feel the need to repeat what A.A just said?!]

"Yeap. Longest walk yet."

"I wonder how far we went."

"I will find out later. When I Google Earth it. Why don't you uh, record for posterity how fucked up you felt along the way." [Laughs.]

"Okay let's see, uh..."

"Detailed description of how bad it was."

"I think ah..." [Interrupted again! So rude! :P]

"All the shaking and dizziness. Woo!"

"I think I almost fainted."

"Yea... Sounds like it. You should've told me, man. You should've fuckin' told me."

"Nah..."

"Ah, why so garang." [Garang = Fierce.]

"What? No lah."

"Everyday wanna garang." [Garang was inaudible.]

"No lah, it was more for..."

"Your own... Thing."

"Yah. I mean, I almost gave up like, 3 times..."

"'Impossible is nothing', issit?"

"I'm not Addidas, can?" [Laughs.]

[Cut 2]

"I think I caught the... Last bus. Home. 170. Don't know how long it will take but... At least I got a bus home."

[Cut 3]

"This is great... I took 170... I thought it was gonna end up in Woodlands Regional Interchange... But I was wrong. I'm at Woodlands Checkpoint." *Facepalm!*

"This is greaaaat."

"Had to go through a bit of security to get out of the... Checkpoint... But yeah, I'm out."

[Cut 4]

"It's 1:03 am... I just got off 912... Super exhausted. What a night."

So rox, right?

At the end of the whole walk, I had blisters, yay!

I have since cut open the blisters... :P Now I have unhardened brand new skin circles! Woot.

But wait... I thought I was going to prove that I'm easily pleased? Well... Here it comes...

A.A mapped the journey out and it amounted to 7.45 KM! I think it's quite a personal achievement. I was encouraged, satisfied and happy when A.A SMS-ed me this information. :D

Didn't stop my body from aching the whole of the night and the whole of next day, though. Haha.

And in light of the achey-ness (yes, I know there's no such word), I decided to forgo yesterday's walk. Plus, A.A already had other plans. Heh.

Alright, end of the last evidence!

Wah, long entry.

I'm planning to stay in the whole day tomorrow and finally start (and finish) my second Introduction to Media Communication assignment... And on Friday, I'm going to go photoshooting with boboshooter! Wheeee! And he promised to treat me lunch at Popeyes Chicken for my help with testing his C++ projects. Wahahhhahaha.

Damn... How many clicks do I have to walk to burn off the Popeyes Chicken meal? :(
