Walk Journal 12

Went for a night walk around the neighbourhood the morning of 1st June, starting at about midnight and ending at about 2 am. Nothing much to say about it apart from what I'd already talked about in the video below. It's only 3 minutes, but I think I yapped quite a bit. Haha.

Hopefully it won't be another month before my next walk. :(

Oh, on the topic of health issues, and I've got my IPPT next month. Wahahhaha. Obviously I'm going to fail (a fact, I can't ever pass my IPPT; no choice), so I have Remedial Training to look forward to... Meh. School starts on 21st July, so I hope the RT sessions don't clash... And if they do, I hope there's something that can be done about it. I haven't read up about what to do if I can't attend the RT sessions. Anybody can enlighten me?

The walk was not that bad. I'm not so adept at charting the distance using Google Earth like Amir is, so I erred in the side of less, instead of more, and I think the 5.87 KM stated sounds about right. I took so much more time than previously (although I jogged about a seventh of the distance - only - heh), but it's all good.

Man, I feel tired all over again just looking at that map. Ok, video below, and the transcript follows.

Video transcript :

[Cut 1]

"I'm starting again my walk. And hopefully, this continues."

[Cut 2]

"Walking towards my old school, Woodlands Secondary School. I'm actually adjacent to the path which we used to take when we did our 2.4. It's been a very very long time since I've walked this path, and just thinking about old times partly made me wish that I had actually tried harder. At everything basically, but at this point, I'm just thinking about the physical stuff, you know? I wish I had tried harder so that, you know, I'm not suffering now."

"I've reached the front gate of ah, Woodlands Secondary School. This used to be the back gate."

"This whole area brings back so much memories though. I think maybe one day I'd like to come back here just to visit."

[Cut 3]

"We've come to this area. Which had... A lot of memories for me as well. I think it's been over 3... 3, 4 years? And ah, I think I've, I've finally gotten over it. So... Yay me."

[Cut 4]

"Causeway Point over there. I've basically just went one big circle towards it. I guess this would be my middle point. Time to head on back home."

[Cut 5]

"In front of Rosewood. Hey pool! Haha."

[Cut 6]

"And... Fiz's house. Hi fiz! *Ahem* Ok bye."

[Cut 7]

"That's erm, Woodgrove Condo, and that's Al-Ameen, the bunch of green lights over there. And I'm headed this way, and I'm actually quite... I'm exhausted already. Um, but it's still a ways to go before I reach home."

[Cut 8]

"Have you guys seen this advert?"
"That's just not right!"
"The Return of the Peg-Leg Chicken Feast... Showcasing a chicken with a peg-leg. That's just not right..."

[Cut 9]

*Breathes out*

"Yup, I'm back. Really exhausted right, but... Yeah, it feels good. Haha. Alright, I'm back."

Somewhere opposite Causeway Point, on my way towards Rosewood Condominium, I chanced upon a cute cat sitting on a motorcycle. I did a double take though. It was sitting on the bike with its tongue out, and it had a sliver of saliva from its tongue to the bike. First thought was, "Wtf?" Haha. It just sat there... Not moving its tongue, but looking at me intently. When I got a bit too close, it moved to jump off the bike, but its tongue was still hanging out of its mouth! I backed away, and it sat back down though, and I just took a moment to take a picture of it (which turned out a mess of black and green noise pixels - bah!) and look at it puzzlingly.

Then I remembered some stories I've heard about people feeding animals stuff that makes them behave abnormally, and I didn't think it was so cute anymore. A quick Google search got me a possible reason why the cat had its tongue out, and it's a bit sad, really. :(

From Pandecats :

Especially as cats age they frequently begin to exhibit problems with their teeth that can result in excessive drooling among other symptoms. Definitely get (the cat) into the vet to have (the cat's) mouth checked. (The cat) might have severe dental disease such as an abscessed tooth, or it might be something more serious such as an oral tumor.

Oh and regarding the advert above, do you agree it's not right? To showcase a chicken with one of its leg cut off as a way to promote the chicken meal? I remember reading somewhere that someone said he/she doesn't trust anything to invites you to eat itself and its kind. Hurr.

Speaking of chicken, once I reached home (and rested for a bit), I cooked some sambal chicken (again) 'cause I hadn't eaten dinner yet. It was goooooood. Haha. Yes, I went for a 5.87 KM walk, and then while exhausted, cooked a meal and then pretty much ate back the effort I used up while walking. Mehhhh.
