Walk Journal 7 & 8

I didn't have class last Monday, 10th March 2008, but I went for a walk with A.A anyway. Met up with him at Pending LRT station and walked around Chestnut/Cashew road areas. It was raining slightly when I left Woodlands and by the time I was in Bukit Panjang, the rain had pretty much stopped.

Nothing much to say. I wore wrong shoes, my feet hurt the whole time, and so I cut the walk short. But we walked further than I had anticipated, so that's good. :) I had thought we walked only 5 KM or less, which would've still been quite good if we did. But we actually walked about 6.22 KM, which was a surprise to me.

Video transcript :

[Cut 1]

"It's a rainy night. I actually have no class tonight, but I go (sic) meet A.A anyway."

[Cut 2]

"Fucking funny lah this cat. Look, look, look at the sheen of its coat. Love it. Hey, lai, lai lai, lick it."

[Cut 3]

"Say hi."

"No. Leave me alone."

"We had more time today, but I think we covered less distance."

"Yeah. Probably."

"All my fault lah."

"Huh? Your fault? (inaudible)"

"Wear lousy shoes some more."

"Yeah."

On our way back, we saw a cat just sitting in the middle of the road of the neighbourhood where A.A parked his car. The cat had super shiny fur, which looked very well-kept that I figured someone owned it. It had no collar though, and it kept running away from A.A and towards me. :D

Tried to get the cat away from its "territory" (as A.A put it), but it followed us, got about a block away and stopped. Cute kitty. :)

Then on Wednesday, 12th March 2008, we had a walk around A.A's old neighbourhood... Which had freaking hugggggeee houses... Some were pretty cool, and made me wanna kill the owners so that I could live there instead. :P

Video transcript :

[Cut 1]

"Fah-king beautiful." [Yes, I know I sound stupid here. Bah!]

"Haha, okay, oh my god! (inaudible)"

"Oh my god."

"I know. Wow. (inaudible)"

[Cut 2]

"Yeah, that was really, like, gobsmacking, right? I wouldn't call it beautiful, I just think it's really like, breathtaking. Because of..."

"Yeah."

"Yeah."

"Okay."

"Ah, it's so bold."

"It's like on a pedestal. And you know, the, the glass, the glass was - " (inaudible overlap - A.A refused to let me finish gushing. :P)

"Are you still video-ing?"

"Yeah. I am."

"Fuck. You took the whole commentary."

"It's okay. I'll edit."

[Sniggers?]

"I'll edit"

"[More sniggers] Really?"

[Cut 3]

"We've basically gone through all the lanes."

"Oh okay. Have we?"

"Pretty much."

The final distance was much lesser, but this time we were under a slight time constraint 'cause I needed to catch my train. But still, 5.33 KM isn't so bad. :)

And in other news... I received an email last week.

Yay!!! I am able to take the COR 100 waiver exam in July! Woot! I was so happy when I first read this email. Now, to actually attend the damned waiver exam! *Buys 3 alarm clocks and calls 10 people to help wake me up in July.* Hurr. :P
